Children of Mystery River
An adventure story, generally aimed at 4th through 8th grade students, that enables understanding of watersheds, the values of water and inspires environmental protection of all water. Without rules or regulations, readers are engaged in a story of three orphaned youngsters whose river quest adventure changes their lives in positive ways that last them forever.
On their own in the mid-1800’s, young orphans Hannah, Seth and Colette become environmentally savvy before the word, environmental was invented. They learn and practice cooperation, friendship and family values, becoming environmental in the wilds of the Midwest.
